Correlation Method

Initial disclosure of a method patented by SeekTech, Inc.

Commercial rights to this invention are held to the patent assignees. The purpose of this disclosure is to give an introduction to the statistical operator formalism in classical electrodynamics and quantum physics and to provide some intuition about its use.

In this disclosure to the company management, I am using the quantum mechanical statistical operator formalism to derive a rather common technique in RF design, namely, phased array receivers with a phase shift of 0°. It is therefore a reasonable starting point to introduce more sophisticated methods based on the statistical operator.

In my initial exploration of the correlation method, I studied, in the case of classical electrodynamics, the effect of noise and distortion on the statistical operator and its eigensystem, to get an intuitive understanding on their effect on measurements based on the statistical operator.

I was being facetious, because I was criticizing the fact that US immigration and visa laws threatened me not only with termination at-will, but loss of legal visa status: of course it was

useful
to do a principal component analysis on the statistical operator of the measured magnetic fields of a coil array
novel
to implement this technique on an underground utility locating device designed to pick up signals from known transmitters
non-obvious
to apply the statistical operator formalism on a problem in classical electrodynamics, namely, underground utility location
but if a community can unilaterally exclude me based on rather arbitrary and capricious criteria, it is not in my best interest to share exclusive information with said community
